Arabianranta is a good example of opposites: there is old and new, nature and urban environment, industry and residential areas. My house Arabianranta is a week long event, introducing the journey of buildings from the drawing board to the realized homes. The tours will include environmental art, architecture as well as homes.

What could the new area of Kalasatama look like in the future? Come and build models of Lego! Supervised model building work shops for children and teens on Saturday and Sunday, 15.–16.9. at 12–15 in the Merikaapelihalli in Kaapelitehdas. A chance for free building and school class work shops from Thursday to Sunday when Design Week is open.

Organized by children's architecture school Arkki, OpenHouseHelsinki and City Planning Department.

Three levels is a concert/performance in which the audience is granted access undergroud to have a unique experience. Recordings from underground are recycled as raw material for the performance and further processed into electronic music.

The sound and music will be composed by Arch of Neo (Matti Pentikäinen & Niclas Kristiansson). The visual elements are by Tuomas Aleksander Laitinen.

The renewed exhibition, held every two years, offers new views into architecture. The aim is to make architecture easily approachable.
